These are the best of the best, in no particular order. I find some of my favorite movies depict people obsessively good at something and willing to take risks to pursue it.

I love the glimpse into that mastery, both from the subject's point of view but also the mastery with which the filmmaker portrays it.

But there's a ton of other stuff mixed in that's just as good.
